Account verification is the process of verifying your identity and your address. What is verification for?

To verify their identity and address, freelancers need to upload certain documents. To learn about the requirements for such documents, see Verification rules.

Please note:

  • You need to photograph the original paper versions of your documents, and then upload them in JPG, JPEG, or PNG format.

  • All four corners of the document must be visible in the photo.

  • Photo should not be cropped or edited.

  • Electronic documents need to be uploaded in their original format (PDF).

  • Only non-handwritten, typed documents in Uzbek, English, or Russian are accepted.

The same kinds of documents can be called differently and vary in content across countries. Based on the results of previous background checks, we have compiled recommendations to ensure successful verification:

Verifying your identity

For the first verification step, prepare the following documents:

  • Uzbekistan internal passport

  • Foreign passport

  • ID card

  • Driver's license

  • Residence permit (certificate confirming legal residence)

Verifying your residential address

No matter which document you choose for the third verification step, it must contain all of the following information:

  • Your first and last name.

  • Your residential address

  • The logo, QR code, or seal of a well-known organization, or the signature of its representative.

  • Date of issue (maximum 6 months prior to the verification date).

We recommend using a certificate of registration at citizen's permanent place of residence (fuqaro doimiy yashash joyi bo‘yicha ro‘yxatga olinganligi to‘g‘risida, qayd varag‘i / выписка о регистрации по месту постоянного проживания гражданина) or a permanent residence permit to verify the address, as that's what most successfully verified freelancers provided.

  • Certificate of registration at citizen's permanent place of residence

    • Obtain the certificate (may require viewing the portal in a different language) or permanent residence permit on the Public Services for Foreign Citizens portal.

    • The document must be made up in Uzbek, Russian, or English, and uploaded in PDF format.

You can also use the documents listed below to verify your address (provided they meet the requirements):

  • Page with registration address from the Uzbekistan internal passport

    • The photo must show the passport series and number.

    • If the address is handwritten, it would be recognized by the system only if it is fully legible. If the address is not being recognized, please use a different document containing your address.

  • Certificate of registration at the place of temporary residence

    • Obtain the certificate on the Public Services for Foreign Citizens portal.

    • The certificate must be made up in Uzbek, Russian, or English, and uploaded in PDF format.

    • If the temporary registration certificate is issued in paper form, take a photo of it and upload the file in JPEG, JPG, or PNG format. The text in the document must be fully legible.

  • Residential lease agreement

    • The agreement must be made up in typed Uzbek, Russian, or English language.

    • You need to upload a photo of the first and last pages of the agreement's paper version. If it's an electronic agreement, upload it as a PDF file and contact Support via chat so they check it manually.

    • If the agreement is currently in effect, but was signed more than 6 months ago, contact Support via chat so they check it manually.

Please note:

  • If your current place of residence is in another country, you will need the following documents to verify your address:

    • Notice of foreign national's or non-citizen's arrival at the place of stay (for example, in Russia)

    • Residence permit from that country

  • Take a photo of both sides of the notice or residence permit, and upload both photos in JPEG, JPG, or PNG format.

  • Once the address in your country of residence is verified, it will be listed in your Solar Staff account. If you change your country, the list of available payment methods and currencies for receiving remuneration may change. To learn more about payouts in different countries, see this article.

Notes on documents at the first and third verification steps

In order to successfully pass verification, upload any document from the list during the first step, and a a certificate of registration at citizen's permanent place of residence at the third step.
