How do I sign up via the Solar Staff app?

Instructions for registering in the mobile app

Freelancers can sign up for Solar Staff after being invited by a client, or by themselves in order to work with offers. The instructions below cover both scenarios.

Important!

Residents of the following countries and territories cannot register in Solar Staff: Iran, North Korea, Crimea, Sevastopol, Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia.

1. Download and install the Solar Staff app.

Download the Solar Staff app from the App Store, Google Play, or AppGallery.

Please note that for the app to work correctly, your device needs to meet the following operating system (OS) requirements:

Android 13 or higher

Between Android 11 and Android 13

Important:

  • If you are registering using a client's invite, but your phone doesn't support the recommended OS versions, follow the guide for signing up via the website.

  • If you are registering by yourself to work with offers, update your device's operating system or use a different device.

2. Select the account type.

Once in the app, tap Sign up 🡢 Freelancer.


​3. Registration options.

Freelancers can sign up for Solar Staff after being invited by a client, or by themselves in order to work with offers. Follow the instructions for your scenario.

Client's invite

Independent sign-up

Copy the link from the invite email and paste it into the "Link from email" field. Tap “Continue”.

Tap “No invite from client” and then “Sign up without an invite”.

Important! If you haven't received an invite email despite having been invited by a client, there are several things you can try. First, double-check that you gave your client the correct email address, and also check all of the email folders (including Spam). You can also ask the client to resend the invite.

The remaining steps are the same for both registration scenarios.


4. Enter your phone number and confirm it.

Select the international country code and manually enter your phone number. Make sure you provide a working number, because it will be used for SMS confirmation.

Important! Your phone number acts is a unique identifier and can only be linked to one Solar Staff account.

Tap "Send code" and enter it in the "SMS code" field. Tap “Continue”. If the SMS doesn't arrive within 10 minutes, try requesting the code again or consult this troubleshooting guide.

5. Enter your personal details.

  • Avoid spaces before and after inputs.

  • Use only English or Russian for the name.

  • Don't forget to specify your date of birth.

  • If there's no exact match for your specialization, choose the closest one.

  • Read the linked documents and then check the appropriate boxes to confirm your consent.

  • By checking "Receive important notifications from Solar Staff", you agree to receive notifications and important news to the email you signed up with.

6. Create a password and confirm it.

Password must be between 8 and 20 characters long and include a lowercase letter, an uppercase letter, a number, and one of the following special characters: !@$%^&*()_-+=/?\±§<>


Tap “Sign up”. You will receive a confirmation email: follow the link inside to complete the registration.

Important!

If you're a resident of one of the following countries, you can only receive payments in Solar Staff after getting verified: Afghanistan, Barbados, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Cuba, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Gibraltar, Haiti, Iraq, Jamaica, Jordan, Mali, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nigeria, Panama, Philippines, Senegal, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Trinidad and Tobago, Uganda, United Arab Emirates, Vanuatu, Vietnam, Yemen.
