You can update your personal information through the Solar Staff website – this feature isn’t available in the mobile app. You’ll need access to the phone number you used when registering your account.

Lost access to your phone?

If you no longer have access to your registered phone number, here’s what to do:

  • If you have a verified account: You’ll need to verify your identity again by taking a selfie with your camera. Once verified, our support team will help update your profile.

  • If you have an unverified account: You’ll need to complete the full verification process and provide your new phone number.

When changing your country of residence or surname, you'll need to complete the verification process. After verification, your updated information will appear in your profile.

Update your contact details

Change your email or phone number

  1. Go to the Contact details section and click Edit. You’ll receive a verification code on your current phone number – enter it and click Continue.

2. Enter your new phone number or email address. Double-check that everything is correct, then confirm by clicking the blue checkmark.

To finish up:

  • For email changes: Look for a verification code in your new email

  • For phone number changes: Watch for an SMS with your verification code

Enter the code you received and click Continue. Your new contact information will be saved.

Important: Since your phone number and email serve as unique identifiers in our system, you can’t change both at the same time. If you need to update both, you might need to delete your current account and create a new one.

Update your country or address

For unverified users

You’ll need to complete the full account verification process. Once we verify your new address documents, your profile will update automatically.

For verified users

To change your country, you’ll need to verify your new address. Contact our support team to reset your current verified information.

Here’s what we need for address verification:

  • A document in your name that shows your complete address (city, street, house number, and apartment)

  • Something recent – issued within the last 6 months (passports and ID cards are exempt from this rule)

  • Official verification like an organization’s stamp, QR code, or authorized signature

If you’re using a passport or ID card, you might need to provide additional documents during the initial verification step.

Change your surname

If your account is unverified, you will need to complete the verification procedure to change your last name. Following the successful verification of uploaded documents, your profile will automatically be populated with the new info.

For unverified users

You’ll need to complete the full account verification process. Your profile will update automatically once we verify your documents.

For verified users

Reach out to our support team. You’ll need to:

  1. Complete the first verification step again – upload your passport or ID card showing your new surname

  2. Provide an updated proof of address if your current document shows your old surname

Important: Our Terms of Use don’t allow for complete name changes. If you need to have your full name appear in another language, contact our support team.

Update your tax information

Your tax data resets automatically when you change your country of residence. For all other changes to your tax identification number, please contact our support team.
